Mud jacking V.S Polyurethane Foam:

Slab jacking is a process in which you lift a sunken concrete slab by pumping a substance through the concrete, effectively pushing it up from below. Accounts of raising large concrete slabs through the use of hydraulic pressure date back to the early 20th century.

Early contractors used a mixture of locally available soils (sometimes including crushed limestone and/or cement for strength), producing a mud-like substance and thus the term “mud jacking.” The process was messy and lacked structural stability. Mud jacking took several days to cure and could be easily ruined by rainwater causing resettlement.

In recent years. Innovations in technology and material have improved slab jacking tremendously! Slab jacking has shifted into using expanding geotechnical structural polyurethane foam. Which is much stronger, less invasive, and cannot be eroded by rainwater. That is why we utilize polyurethane foam instead of mud jacking.

We Fix The Underlying Issues So That Your Problem Won’t Reoccur!

We make sure to address the underlying reason your concrete is sinking. For instance, if soil erosion due to poor drainage is washing away the earth that supports your concrete slab, concrete lifting isn’t going to be effective for long. You will only have the same problem once again. On the other hand, if you’re able to solve the root problem of the sinking concrete, the fix will last. Trust the experts at Level Up Concert Repair to give you a solution that lasts!
